And paint is always on sale during patriotic holidays (memorial day, 4th of july, labor day) We bought several gallons of paint for $10 a gallon when it was on sale and had it tinted when we knew what color we wanted. And that tinting the primer tip...so wish we'd known it when we first started painting our bathroom orange. I went back to the store to buy a 2nd gallon for the 3rd coat and the employee told me that. The Halbert Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04834207402593940473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2543022719933554512.post-45584011077875895262010-01-07T18:30:59.172-03:302010-01-07T18:30:59.172-03:30My stepdad who painted EVERYTHING for everyone alw...My stepdad who painted EVERYTHING for everyone always swore by Sears brand. When it was on sale he would buy gallons and gallons then go back and have it tinted as needed. We use Lowe's brand. Yes SW and Benjamin Moore would be wonderful, but also not too affordable for how much we usually need. If you're painting a dark color remember to have the primer tinted. . .that helps A LOT.Jennibellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08902786008061968790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2543022719933554512.post-77138457264529196992010-01-06T15:35:41.839-03:302010-01-06T15:35:41.839-03:30Though I never thought I'd spend that much for...Though I never thought I'd spend that much for paint, I have to admit that Sherwin Williams is our paint of choice. We were glued to the brand when we painted our study dark chocolate brown last winter -- covering up a light beige -- only ONE coat needed with a few small brush touch-ups! Amazing.<br />Good luck!megret7https://www.blogger.com/profile/13815797016001735913noreply@blogger.com
